The winning history of Australia in the ICC World Cup-1987,1999,2003&2007

The Australian cricket team had won the ICC World Cup champion trophy four times in the history of World cup from the starting year 1975 to till date. For the first time, the Australian team won the world champion trophy in cricket in the year 1987.The Australian team also had won the ICC World cup champion trophy for the past three times continuously (1999, 2003 and 2007).

In the ICC World cup 1987, the Australian cricket team had played in eight matches with various teams and won in the seven matches. It was a most notable victory in the history of world cup cricket. In the same series of the world cup, the Australian team had lost the leek match with Indian cricket team with 56 runs which was held in New Delhi. In the final match of the world cup 1987, the Australian team with the captain ship of ALAN BORDER won the champion trophy of the world cup 1987 by beating the England team with the difference of seven runs in the Eden Garden stadium at Kolkatta.

In the ICC world cup 1999, the Australian cricket team had played ten matches with various teams and won in the seven matches, lost in two matches and score level in one match. During the world cup 1999, the Australian team with the captainship of STEEV WAUGH lost the matches with New Zealand and Pakistan initially, but won the ICC world cup 1999 by beating the Pakistan team with the difference of eight wickets in the Lards stadium in London on June 20th, 1999 through the continues victory .

In the ICC world cup 2003, the Australian cricket team had played eleven matches under the captain ship of RICKY PONTING with various teams and won all the matches without loosing any match, they retained the world cup again. In the final match of the ICC world cup 2003, Australian team defeated India by the difference of 125 runs.

The Australian cricket team took more advantage in the ICC world cup 2007 also. They played eleven matches under the captainship of Ricky ponting and won all the eleven matches that they had played. They made a hatrick world record by winning the world cup continuously for three times. During the final match which was played in Bridge Town Kensington oval stadium, Australia defeated Srilanka by 53 runs and won the ICC world cup 2007.
